What the fucking hell?

erunnos.livejournal.com wants to set another cookie
gutterboy.livejournal.com wants to set another cookie
sqlrob.livejournal.com wants to set another cookie
ljuserX.livejournal.com wants to set another cookie

WTF???? Also I get logged out every time I turn around and I HAVE the freakin' “remember me” box set.

Fuckers.

This shit isn't necessary people.

OMG. It's because I don't want to see styles that make my eyes bleed. It's the ?style=mine parameter.

Well, fuck.

There's still no reason to use a fucking cookie for that.

Gah.

  1. Earlier, I was reading just fine, then found I was logged out and unable to read and locked posts. Logging out and re-logging in didn’t help. Turns out, there seems to be a hole in Firefox (which I use) regarding javascript which hackers have been exploiting.
Apparently, a number of LJers have had their journals hijacked. So, in attempting to deal with the problem, the LJ people were busy screwing with security for a while. Things are back to normal for me now.

    1. Actually, it wasn’t just firefox. I knew about that security thing – I didn’t know they’d dumped everyone after the first time.
Still, with the journal name change (user.livejournal.com for everyone), there’s a cookie set for each journal you go to, if you use the ?style=mine. If you reject that cookie, you don’t see the other users journal in your style, but whatever “isn’t this cool lets see how many colours clash and how about 500 images and put the journal in a little narrow scroll box, and oooh! let’s fuck with the scroll bars and mouse cursors” style du jour. Bleh.

      1. Ah. I see. I don’t use the “in my style”, so I was unaware of that issue.
All I can say is bitch your heart out, ’cause I can’t do anything to help. You’d need to bitch at someone in power, which I doubt would help anyway.
