Eh. Having just spent a great afternoon out with someone who lives in my city and who I probably never would have met without blogs, that joke’s a little stale. I know at least two couples on my friends list who met through their blogs. The internet’s an accessory to real life, not a substitute.
I’ve met people who have become good friends via the Internet, but in general, I’d say that some folks spend way too much time on the computer and have either lost their social skills or have never acquired them. This cartoon drove that point home.

Since I met on Usenet I’d have to agree with you.
