Son of a…

My laptop broke.

I was using it this morning, I put it to sleep as always, and when I got home from work it was not asleep – it was off. The power cord was in, but it was not glowing as it should be. The battery claims it has a full charge, but the laptop will not turn on.

I've got a very bad feeling about this.

I'm going to bed.

Oh wow.

1 – My laptop is on my lap. My butt is on my couch. Downstairs. No cables. Wireless, baby!!! I'm so excited about that I can't stand it. :)

2 – I finished God of War!! Wow, but that was a fantastic game. I'd say it definitely earned its “M” rating. I finished it in 11 hours and 3 minutes. I had to do the final boss battle twice though – the playstation crashed on me twice. It crashed during the 3rd phase of the battle (games have a tendency to do boss battles in 3 phases) but I was able to break out of it by restarting to the last checkpoint which thankfully was after the 2nd phase. Unfortunately, it then crashed again, hard. I had to reset it, and start from the last save, which was just before the beginning of the last battle. was a bit disappointed with the game, but I'm still in love with it. I might even try it again on a harder level, although, as always, I reserve the right to quit at the drop of a hat. :)

3 – OhEmGee, but I wish I'dve had my camera with me today. While driving home from dinner I saw a vehicle with the following message written on the back window: “We are all slaves to oil”. It was an SUV. I about died laughing.

4 – I just IM'd . I'm downstairs. He's upstairs. I'll be giggling madly about this for a while.

5 – Now I'm going to post this. From my living room!

Jen – We're late! And I'm not wearing any pants!!
Rob – … That's a .sig!

Ok, they're in the dryer, see.

I owe responses all over the place! I'll get 'em done before bed.

I gotta go. And I still need my pants. And waffles!

In other news, this is the first post using Xjournal!

ooooh… shiny!

This is my first post from Gaz.

I have joined the Dark Side; I have succumbed to the halo effect.

I… own a Mac. A 15″ PowerBook, to be precise.

What's more, I like it. I like it a lot. After my traumatizing and frustration laden attempts at using Linux w/ KDE, I was skeptical. Then I tried Rob's iMac, and it seemed like it'd actually work for me – and I'm finding that I really like it.

I'm posting right now from NetNewsWire, a RSS aggregator that looks awesome. It has a weblog thingy (which I'm using right now just because I can). I'm still going to try out Xjournal, because this thing is really meant for blogging links.

Once I get my crap off the desktop, I'm putting 98se on it and using it for my games. Most of my pc games are pretty old; some wouldn't run at all on 2k or xp, so it'll be nice to be able to play some of those again. The 98 box won't be allowed on the 'net.

Oh yah – Adium is great for instant messaging.

I was going to post this huge entry about how Rob and I were pregnant, but then I realised I'd never be able to be convincing.

In other news, I'm really hoping this isn't an April Fool's joke:
