Today was a nice day.

The weather was beautiful – sunny and breezy, but not too cool. I took a book and a laptop outside to my wonderful backyard and watched my dog try to chase the squirrels.

Didn't accomplish anything productive today at all, except for ordering my new slippers.

Still trying to find my misplaced motivation. It seems as if it's irretrievably lost.

All I've eaten today is a liverwurst sandwich, and a banana.

Googlewhacking is sweeping the internet. Well, I don't know if that's true, but it's funny. There's at least two sites that are dedicated to it: http://www.googlewhack.com and http://www.googlewhacker.com – check it out, it's a great waste of time. Here's my latest: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=sobriquet+atrabilious

Over a 13 day period, I averaged 190.5 emails per day. 34.8 of those were spam.

I have 13 email addresses that I know of.

I've been working on the “Decades” meme, but haven't finished it yet. It's that whole motivation thing again.

I suppose I should eat something and go to bed. I'll probably just lay awake for a couple of hours, then wake up every hour or so, just like last night. Ugh. :/

My brain is mush.

Slippers.

A simple concept, really. Warm, comfortable, indoor coverings for one's foot. Mine wore out, and must be replaced.

You'd think it would be easy to find such a thing.

No. Not when you're looking for warmfuzzycomfy boot type slippers apparently. I went to Target. Wal-Mart. JC Penney's. Sears. Dillards. Foley's. Linens and Things. Hanes Store. TJMax. Ross.

Everywhere I found lots and lots of slippers that cover only the front of your foot. What about the poor exposed heel, I say? Doesn't the heel deserve warmth and protection?

Then there's those icky thin elastic gramma slippers. Or the ones with the heel that's only a centimeter high.

No. I want slippers that keep my feet warm and toasty.

Finally in desperation I turned to the internet. Surely my quest for warmfuzzycomfy boot type slippers would be fruitful online! Alas, no. I found plenty of really good slippers that would suit me, but they were TOO good. Like $50-$60 bucks good. Now is not the time for me to splurge on slippers such as these, or these.

Finally, I found them. Exactly what I was looking for – warmfuzzycomfy boot type slippers. They'll be arriving in a few days. I am content.
